I started my yoga journey in 2004, with a yoga teacher who had just arrived from India. I thought yoga would make me more flexible. I didn’t realise all the other benefits . After a few sessions I was amazed how I felt after a yoga class. My body felt relaxed and my mind calmer. I was sleeping better, physically more toned and found the new calmer me was able to manage my emotions better in every day life and situations. At times, I have not been able to practice yoga in my life as much as I would have liked, but I was able to meditate which got me through some difficult times. I am so grateful for having started this journey. I only wish that my journey could have started when I was much younger. So I made a decision to become a children’s yoga teacher and spread this beautiful practice . I trained with Yoga Beez, the training was inspirational in how to teach yoga to children. I am honoured to be given the opportunity to teach at bamboo yoga and spread the message of how yoga can benefit children.
