Bamboo Yoga is founded by myself Karen Jackson, and is now based at Bamboo Yoga Studio in Arnold. I have been practising yoga for 30 years, and love it so much, that I now teach yoga. People often ask me why I have named my business Bamboo, it is because Bamboo is strong yet flexible, beautiful, organic, very versatile and graceful. I am qualified with the British Wheel of Yoga. The BWY is the national governing body for yoga recognised by Sport England and the Sport and Recreation Alliance.

I am also qualified to teach children and teenagers, I completed a YogaBugs teaching qualification, and a specialised teen yoga course and have a valid DBS certificate and have also taken the NSPCC safeguarding children in sport course. I have taught toddlers and mums in a toddler group, pre school children, and up to the ages of 16 in schools. I am also qualified in Yin Yoga, I trained with Sarah Lo, who works with Sarah Powers. I also worked with the Nottingham Breast Institute in a support group  initiative for two years teaching meditation following yoga to help these amazing ladies deal emotionally and physically with their illness.

I have also had several  months experience teaching mixed martial artists Yoga to help reinforce their training and fighting.
