I’m Cara and I teach Hatha yoga. One of the translations of Hatha is ‘balance’. Yoga has brought balance into my life over the past 16 years and I feel privileged to have the opportunity to share it with others. I discovered yoga to help manage anxiety in my early 20s and have never looked back. It helped me deal with the stress and workload of being a secondary school teacher, and the very different challenge of raising a family.
My yoga training is with British Wheel of Yoga (300 hours). I practiced yoga throughout my two pregnancies and found it particularly beneficial when I suffered from debilitating PGP. The gentle Baby Yoga classes I attended after the birth of my second baby were so inspiring that I went on to train to teach Baby Yoga. I am a fully qualified Birthlight Baby Yoga Teacher, having completed the Diploma course in 2013. My own two kids are growing up fast, their interest in yoga ranging from intense curiosity to careful imitation to inane giggling.
